Blaž Miklavčič from the Nervous FX collective plans to give a Houdini workshop to introduce people to this expansive software.
On Saturday the 6th of May, we’re hosting an introductory workshop with Blaž Miklavčič on Houdini.
Blaž Miklavčič is a freelance FX Artist and 3D generalist based in Amsterdam. His specialty is the development of procedural and generative physically based systems in Houdini. In his commercial work, he worked on projects for companies such as Meta, Adidas, Calvin-Klein, Netflix, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Johnnie-Walker and others.
He is also the co-founder of Nervous FX - a Ljubljana - Amsterdam based collective of independent VFX Artists.
He will be guiding you through this introductory session of Houdini, exploring the basics of the software and through some first workflows/techniques to get your first simulation out.
Basic knowledge of 3D and a workshop ready laptop (with Houdini installed) is a requirement.
If you do not have a workstation that you can bring, we have a limited number of stations we can lend and will be choosing participants based on this as well.
